Proverbs 24:33-34 Budget Wisdom

A special acknowledgment from the the late, great Christian financial counselor and radio host, Larry Burkett.  I am currently reading his book, Answers to Your Family's Financial Questions.  He stresses the importance of making a budget and "the most important step:  live within the budget!"  There is a lot of time, energy, and even stress in setting up your initial budget.  But now the real work begins - making your budget work for you and you working for your budget.  It takes discipline and dedication, planning and purpose, and attention to detail.  Proverbs 24:33-34 says "A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest, then your poverty will come as a robber, and your want like an armed man."  Once your budget is in place, stay true to it, don't get lazy, and only rest in the satisfaction of a job well done.
